~ new journey, new experience ~
Thursday, November 29th, 2007a new journey officially began for me on 28/11…its a journey i have procrastinated for 7 years…the 1st time i was introduced to it was through a movie called, "only the strong"…i remember that year ( 7 years ago ) everyone got virtually crazy about this…i got to know this guy called lim huat heng in uni that year as well…excellently brilliant & probably the most hardworking guy i have ever met in my entire life…
he got hooked as well..so one day he did a search on the internet and started printing out copies of the moves on a pink sheet of paper ( i m still keeping the paper until today..its somewhere in my room..cant remember where i stashed it though )…and so we started flipping here and there in the SRC room…that was a cool year…but of course back then, we didnt have access to this activity nor did we have youtube to check it out and how its done properly…
so many years passed by then until i heard about it again in my current gym…i purposely joined this gym for that activity and was surprised to found out that an ex senior from high school started an organization in msia to teach…but i continued in the gym instead of joining his organization but unfortunately due to poor response, that class was closed down..:(…that was closed to 1++ years ago…
and so finally…after 7 years of procrastination, i finally walked into his dojo..the 1st 3 ppl i met there was a lady by the name of Nora, a 26 year old guy by the name of Sani & a 36 year old man by the name of Kennedy….as i filled up the form..a deep husky brazillian voice said , "hey man, my name is Arrr-Faaa-LL ( spelt as Rafael )…let me teach u the secret handshake…and welcome you to the family !! "..and he said…"be patient man…there are many things that u can learn..the way of life, moves, for fitness…its like a tree..but u start planting it as a seed, water, put fertilizer and slowly see it grow "….
i guess one of the 1st goal i would like to aim for is to be able to do au batido, macaco and few more stuffs…one day i will get there..lets see how long it takes…
