~ human weapon ~
Monday, March 10th, 2008i guess no amount of knowledge in martial arts would ever beat this powerful human weapon and i guess its been proven for centuries through the many wars that has been recorded in history…"the mind" must be the single most deadliest weapon ever created for human…
as i was sipping my usual teh ais, i saw a small column that a guy in US aged 31 just won the award for the best memory where during the qualification they have been put through a series of gruesome mind boggling memory tasks…amazing….not to mention its powerful enuff to make u procrastinate….
my latest discovery is, it can tell u what to do and what not to do as well…well..i guess many ppl already know this and i probably know is subconsciously but it became rather obvious in this matter….i was asked to perform a task @ work last thursday which i thought is a non-value added, unproductive and effort wasting task…of course, as usual i obliged…when my collegue saw what i was doing, she immediately commented to the boss "whaaaaaaa…this is rather tedious and meticulous man !!"….
this is truly something i hav to learn from my collegue.."to complaint !!"…anyway..so we completed the task, and the following next morning, we were asked to repeat the same tasks on a different system..my first reaction was "f**k, these guys are wasting my time and effort again…if originally u wanted it from system A then why asked us to perform it on system B in the first place???"…to my surprise, a senior manager shared this point of view and started questioning my boss’s logic for doing so to which my boss replied, "ooo, we wanted to do it in test to make sure its working"…
of course this is a cover line excuse…knowing the system myself, theres no way things could have screwed up if we performed it immediately in system A instead of B…but anyway…thats that…then this morning, i received a continuity to the task..which i told myself…this is it..i m not doing anymore for this freaking dude…so i just replied that it cannot be done !!
after a whole day’s rest, a good breakfast, a good tea time and a beautiful bath…i started thinking "abit" only "abit" about the task and i realized theres a simple workaround to achieve what is needed…but i guess the thing here is that the mind being telling me,"its not worth working, so lets stop working" and so the "creative" juices that usually help me resolve my problems stopped being produce….well, one way to put it..i guess the other way is, "i got lazy to think for ppl who dont appreciate what u think/thought about"…muahahahahaah…
but its cool…when u put ur mind to it, wonderous things can really happen…mmmmm…
